WWI Memorial Park and Zoo
The park is equipped with numerous picnic areas, a ski slope, playgrounds, an open field for sports (used most for lacrosse), a sledding hill, and a petting zoo. Julia's Garden has a wonderful playground, grass areas, benches, and more. There is a large playground across from the fire tower, and a small playground for the younger kids right next to the zoo building. The newest spot is the Beach Area, which has a little board walk and sandcastle toys and shovels.

Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and Water Park
Rhode Island's only ski area has 12 trails, night skiing, snow tubing, pro shop, snow sports school and more! The Ski Area is operational early December through late March and the Snow Tubing Park opens later into December through March; Yawgoo makes its own winter with proper temperatures; almost all of our snow is made by them. In summer, the water park features 2 slides, a swimming pool and a kiddie pool; it is open 10 am - 5 pm every day mid-June through Labor Day. Slides are a combined length of over 750 feet; pool ranges from 4 feet to 6 feet deep, and the kiddie pool is 1 foot deep.

Old Slater Mill National Historic Landmark - Pawtucket, RI
The Old Slater Mill National Historic Landmark is recognized internationally as the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. Samuel Slater's 1793 Old Slater Mill, Oziel and David Wilkinson's 1810 Wilkinson Mill, and Sylvanus Brown's 1758 early Pawtucket cottage, are located here on the banks of the lower Blackstone River. Visitors of all ages are welcome for guided tours, or to simply stroll the grounds and park. Summer museum hours Wed – Mon, 10 – 4. Free film in the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center, right across Roosevelt Avenue.
