Autumn Tree ID for Beginners

Master Naturalist and fellow-tree-observer Lynn Kochiss thinks Autumn is the best time to examine trees! The leaves are still out, and the fall colors and fruit provide unique indicators for species. Add these clues to using bark, twigs, and buds, and you will feel like a tree expert. All are welcome—Adults, children and families. Inclement weather CANCELS.
