The Children's Museum in Easton was founded in 1991 on the principle that play and hands-on learning is critically important to successful child development. Since then, research has demonstrated time and again that play is directly linked to the development of physical, cognitive and emotional strengths and even more, to higher-level skills such as critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and collaboration - all of which are connected to academic and professional achievement. With childhood becoming increasingly digital, sedentary and, in some cases isolated, we believe early and continued access to social, hands-on play is more important than ever. As a result, we have doubled-down on our commitment to kids and parents and play. Play is more than fun, it is a child's job!

The Museum is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.  Every year 50,000+ children and caregivers walk through our front door and thousands of early learners benefit from our mobile science on the go programs delivered in partnership with schools, PTOs, homeless shelters and other community organizations.

This impact is not delivered based on admission and membership revenue alone. We rely on the partnership of individual, corporate and foundation supporters to bring our mission to life and to ensure all kids have access to the magic and lifelong benefit of play.

Tickets do not need to be purchased in advance.

HOURS

  • Monday CME is closed (CME will be open Mondays during school vacation weeks and select Monday holidays.  Check our social media pages for the most up to date happenings at CME.)
  • Tuesday through Friday 9:30am to 3:00pm
  • Saturday 12:30pm to 4:00pm
  • Sunday 12:30pm to 4:00pm

SUMMER HOURS - July and August only!

Open Monday thru Friday, 9:30am to 3:00pm, Saturday from 9:30am to 2:00pm, closed on Sunday.

 

Please plan for your visit accordingly as last entrance into the Museum is 45 minutes prior to closing time.

WEATHER RELATED CLOSURES - CME follows the policy of the Easton Public Schools for storm related closures.  If the Easton Schools are closed, CME is closed.  Check our social media accounts for updates.

ANNUAL SPRUCE UP - CME is closed each year for several days for our annual spruce up (begins September 1st).  Please check our website and social media for details and dates as these vary from year to year.

HOLIDAY CLOSURES - CME will be closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
