Join groundskeeper Galen Wilbur in a hands-on workshop to learn how to make your own charcuterie board. Students will be given a beautiful piece of European sweet cherry wood, taken from fallen trees at Blithewold. During the workshop, each attendee will learn how to use hand and power tools to make handles and drill a hole to hang your board. Galen will also share finishing techniques like sanding and the proper application of mineral oil. Students will walk away with their own handmade charcuterie boards, plus new skills and techniques for basic woodworking.
Preregistration is required. The class is limited to 10 people.
