Fargnoli Park | What’s happening in Providence

Fargnoli Park

Initially called Nelson Street playground, this highly used park in the Elmhurst neighborhood was re-named in 1982 to honor the late Ralph Fargnoli who served as the President of the City Council. When new play structures were installed in 1994, Fargnoli Park was the first Providence Parks "community build" playground--in which neighborhood residents organized the construction. Today, it includes a waterpark, benches, and a concession stand. There is also a baseball field and new play structures as of summer 2017. During the summer, it hosts several neighborhood concerts.
