This 7-week summer session is a beginner's guide to reading and hearing music as a language. It includes the basics of rhythm and pitch notation, the make up of the major scale, and what an interval is. Each class will explore new theory topics on paper, as well as what they sound like. This includes sight singing and being able to write what the student hears.
