Virtual Slovak Heritage Festival

On Sunday, November 7st, 2021, 1PM EST, the University of Pittsburgh will be hosting their annual Slovak Heritage Festival virtually. For 30 years the festival has celebrated the only university Slovak language program in North America with an annual Slovak heritage festival. This year, many of the regular festival performers will be sending in archival footage, or recording a demonstration. Hosted by WQED’s Rick Sebak, tune in to watch Slovak folk dance groups, educational lectures on history and language, cooking and craft demonstrations and more! The festival will be live streamed on Facebook and YouTube.
